Aarti Vijay Gupta’s “Postcard from Kashmir” Stuns at London Fashion Week

Renowned for her bold, art-inspired designs, Aarti Vijay Gupta took the fashion world by storm at London Fashion Week 2024, unveiling her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “Postcard from Kashmir.” This collection, in collaboration with Liva Reviva, seamlessly fused sustainable luxury with the rich cultural tapestry of Kashmir. Inspired by the region’s landscapes, her garments featured intricate Kashmiri miniatures, Papier Mâché art, and Namda embroidery, reinterpreted through sleek, modern silhouettes.

What made this collection particularly striking was Gupta’s use of Liva Reviva, an eco-conscious fabric made from 30% recycled textile waste combined with FSC-certified wood pulp. The result? Pieces that were as soft and breathable as traditional viscose, but significantly more sustainable, making it a standout on the runway.

Flowing silk, printed linens, and photo-printed mesh dresses came together in a versatile collection that balanced timeless tradition with innovative design.

Gupta’s runway offered an unexpected yet beautiful fusion of sustainability and fashion. With clean lines, fluid drapes, and subtle tones, the collection echoed Kashmir’s serene landscapes, captured through Gupta’s own iPhone photography. For the first time, Gupta introduced fitted, bodycon styles alongside her signature relaxed, oversized pieces.
