Indian Designers Shine at GJEPC's Artisan Awards, Championing Innovation and Craftsmanship

The 7th edition of the Artisan Jewellery Design Awards, hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), celebrated creativity and innovation in the industry. With the themes "Unusual Materials" and "Objet Trouvé," designers pushed boundaries by incorporating unexpected elements and cherished objects into their pieces.




 

Actress Sonam Kapoor graced the award ceremony, presenting awards to the winners. She highlighted the importance of the competition in nurturing young talent and pushing the boundaries of design. For this event, nearly 600 participants from India and abroad submitted entries, resulting in breathtaking creations that challenged conventions.




 

Award Winners Announced:

Awards were given in two categories: Unusual Materials and Objet Trouvé. Winners included Aparna Kesarkar, Ahalya Vijayakumar, Yamini Devasree, Rashmi Kaushik, and Vijay Indulkar.




Jury of Renowned Experts:

A distinguished jury led by Alice Cicolini, Biren Vaidya, and Payal Singhal evaluated the entries, recognizing the best and most talented designers.





Industry Stalwarts Honored:

The event also recognized veterans with significant contributions to the industry. Farah Khan received the Design Excellence Award, Rahul Jhaveri received the Global Indian Jewellery Designer Award, and other awards were given for excellence in manufacturing and retail.
