The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico in just a few weeks, bringing together 48 nations in the tournament's largest edition to date. Switzerland is among them, and Swiss watch brand Norqain, which holds an official watch licensing partnership with the Swiss national football teams, has marked the occasion with a limited edition chronograph that went through an unusually direct design process.

Norqain's CEO and design team sat down with several members of the Swiss squad during the development of the watch. Among them was Granit Xhaka, the team's captain and current Sunderland midfielder, who observed that the dial's layout resembled the architecture of a stadium and proposed adding a red inner bezel to capture the energy of a crowd in the Swiss home colors. That suggestion resulted in a unique piece that goes beyond standard sports-licensed releases, which simply apply a logo to an existing model.

The dial is two-tone green, with pitch markings for the penalty box and halfway line laid across the surface. The green unidirectional rotating bezel carries a marker at the 45-minute position, indicating the length of a half, and the 12-hour counter at six o'clock is marked at 90 minutes for a full match. The small seconds subdial at nine o'clock features a revolving football-shaped indicator. At the four o'clock position, the date display replaces the numeral 26 with a small Swiss flag, a nod to the 2026 tournament. A pulsometer scale runs around the dial. The central chronograph seconds hand and the accents throughout are finished in red, matching the team's home kit. Rhodium-plated indices and hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova.

The 41mm stainless steel case has a screw-down crown with red lining and pump-style chronograph pushers, with 100 meters of water resistance. The watch comes on a three-link stainless steel bracelet, with a red rubber strap also included in the box.

Production is limited to 260 pieces, a number that references Switzerland's dialing code. The Norqain Adventure Chrono Swiss Football National Team Limited Edition is priced at CHF 4,850.
