Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light: When a Video Game Produces a Real Watch

Omega's relationship with James Bond stretches back to 1995, when Pierce Brosnan first wore a Seamaster in GoldenEye. In the three decades since, the Seamaster Diver 300M has appeared across multiple Bond films and spawned several collector editions tied to the franchise. The newest addition to that lineage arrives from an unexpected direction—not a film set, but a video game.

The 007 First Light is an upcoming action-adventure title developed by IO Interactive in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, built around a 26-year-old James Bond navigating his earliest MI6 assignments. Within the game, Bond wears an Omega chronograph that functions as both timepiece and mission instrument, equipped in the game's fiction with hacking capabilities and a laser-integrated strap. The watch design, developed by Omega and IO Interactive during the game's creation, has been produced as a physical timepiece, faithfully replicating its fictional appearance but without the gadgets.

It is also the first chronograph to appear in the James Bond Seamaster Diver 300M line.

The case is 44mm in stainless steel, larger than most of the Diver 300M references that have carried the Bond association before it. A polished black ceramic bezel carries a white enamel diving scale, and the pushers are also ceramic. The dial is black ceramic with laser-engraved wave patterns, a texture that has identified the Diver 300M series since its early generations. A sub-dial ring at 3 o'clock is finished in PVD bronze gold, which also colors the central chronograph seconds hand. Rhodium-plated hands and indices are filled with white Super-LumiNova. A red Seamaster inscription and a date window sit at 6 o'clock. The caseback is sapphire crystal, through which the movement is visible alongside a black metalized 007 First Light emblem integrated into the glass.

Inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, a self-winding chronograph movement with a small seconds display at 9 o'clock and a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o'clock. Master Chronometer certification covers precision, durability, and resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.

The watch is delivered on a NATO strap in black, grey, and beige, with engraved keepers marked 007 and First Light. Six additional NATO strap variations, each referencing alternate in-game loadouts, are available separately. The presentation box is designed to resemble the equipment case used to transport Omega gear within the game's narrative, extending the fictional world into the physical packaging.

Priced at CHF 7,300 excluding VAT, the Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light is available at selected Omega boutiques and authorized retailers.
