Simbliss Farm, Panchgaon Review: A 4-Bedroom Private Farmhouse With Pool Near Delhi
Simbliss Farm sits just off NH8 near Manesar, on the way into Panchgaon, and the drive in is short enough that you barely have time to settle before you are turning into the property. A long lawn opens up before the house does, mowed close and bordered on either side by neatly trimmed hedges, with a stone path cutting through the middle of it leading up to the main house. The farmhouse itself is low and red-roofed, built entirely in exposed brick, with a small chimney rising off one end and vines climbing up the walls in that thick, unruly way that only happens when a plant has been left to grow for years. There is a flowering tree near the entrance with its blooms scattered loosely across the ground, and the whole approach feels less like walking up to a property and more like walking into someone's very well-kept garden.
The architecture is really where this place sets itself apart. Every wall, inside and out, is done in exposed brick, laid in deep arches over the doorways and windows, and the bedroom we stayed in even had a vaulted brick ceiling with wooden beams running across it, which gave the room a kind of old world weight without feeling heavy or dark. There is a small built-in brick fireplace in the corner with a stone mantle over it and a little arched wall niche beside it with a small idol placed inside, details you would not expect from a farmhouse but which make the place feel handcrafted rather than built off a template. Every bedroom has a window seat set into the wall, deep enough to actually sit in, with cushions and a view straight out onto the lawn. The rooms open onto a covered veranda that runs along the front of the house, the same brick arches framing the garden, laid with large grey stone tile that stays cool even in the afternoon, with old wooden chairs set out for sitting and doing nothing at all. Each of the four bedrooms is spacious, with its own attached bathroom, and every room has an inverter AC, which meant the one time the power did go, the farm had instant backup and nothing so much as flickering.
The pool sits a short walk from the main house, long and tiled, with sun loungers along one side and a covered pavilion at the other end that has a sloped tile roof on wooden pillars and a stone bar counter built right into it, so you can sit poolside with a drink in hand without walking back to the house for anything. Our kids spent almost the entire day we were there in that water and did not want to get out.
The food worked differently from what I expected and better. Before you reach the property, they send you their menu, starters, barbecue options, and full lunch and dinner spreads, and you pick what you want in advance so it can be ready to prepare by the time you arrive. From there you have two ways to go about it: either pay them per person for the meals you have selected, or hire their cook and buy your own ingredients if you would rather do it that way. Either way, their cook is genuinely good, and nothing about the pricing felt padded.
What stayed with us most, though, had less to do with the property and more to do with the people running it. It is an all-male staff, and honestly, they were the most decent male staff I have come across at any hotel or resort I have stayed at. No unwanted glances, no unnecessary conversation, nothing that made us pause even for a second. They kept to their own kitchen and work area, and every interaction with them was polite and completely professional.
The next morning it rained lightly, just enough to leave the grass wet, and that turned out to be one of the best parts of the whole stay, walking barefoot across the lawn with the kids while everything was still cool and damp. There is a cricket setup on the property too, along with a few other sports facilities you can ask for if you feel like being active.
Rooms, pool, comfort, food, the staff, and the architecture itself all came together into a day that felt far longer and far more restful than it actually was. And with as much open lawn as this property has, it would work just as easily for a private party or a small wedding as it did for our family visit.
