ASICS SportStyle And Doublet Release The GEL-QUANTUM™ 360 I AMP Sneaker

ASICS SportStyle has collaborated with Japanese fashion label doublet on a new sneaker, the GEL-QUANTUM™ 360 I AMP, built around a clear and playful concept inspired by the world of the Jurassic period.

The design features a bold graphic print of a dinosaur’s head extending across the entire upper. Using 3D printing, the surface is given a textured, reptilian-skin–like finish, adding physical depth rather than relying only on visual pattern. Raised polyurethane elements are placed three-dimensionally across the shoe, creating the impression that the dinosaur form is emerging from within the upper itself.

While the exterior is expressive, the construction reflects ASICS’ continued focus on precision and performance. The sneaker incorporates the brand’s established sports technology beneath the design, maintaining comfort and support while allowing the visual concept to take centre stage. The result is a shoe that balances functional engineering with sculptural detailing.

The storytelling continues in the sole design. Its colour palette is inspired by the image of a dinosaur’s teeth and gums. When the heels of both shoes are placed together and the toes are moved, the pattern creates the illusion of a dinosaur opening and closing its jaws. The detail is subtle when worn individually, but becomes apparent through interaction.

Rather than treating the sneaker as a static object, the collaboration introduces elements of movement and play into everyday use. Small gestures, placing the shoes together or shifting position, activate the design and reinforce the Jurassic theme without overwhelming the wearer.
