Something quietly charming has just opened its doors on Khar’s 24th Road. Blondie, the latest offering from Bastian Hospitality, enters Bandra’s café scene with a personality that doesn’t shout for attention—it glows. Unlike the brand’s usual taste for maximalism, this space plays a gentler note. The design is pared-back, graceful, and inviting. Think soft blue walls, honey-hued lighting, and two very distinct moods: a sunlit atrium perfect for mid-morning coffee, and a dimly lit bistro that feels like a hug by dusk.

While it might look modest on the surface, the heart of Blondie beats strong—thanks in no small part to a team that knows exactly what it's doing. Chef Shreya Aggarwal, whose culinary roots span continents, has shaped a food menu that’s clever but comforting. On the other end, Natasha Hemani leads the beverage program with the precision of someone who has spent long, meditative hours in Parisian coffee houses. Her obsession with detail shows in every cup.

Blondie doesn’t just serve coffee—it tells stories through it. There are hand-brewed offerings for those who like their coffee with personality: V60, AeroPress, French Press, all brewing blends from as far as Costa Rica and Ethiopia. The Cask-Aged Whiskey Barrel brew is one to try slow—it unfurls over time. The Fruit Funk Anaerobic is wilder, unpredictable in the best way. For the curious, the monthly specials keep things interesting. A Mango Sticky Rice Latte one month, Vietnamese Coconut Coffee the next.

But if there's a signature, it’s the 'Blondie Blend'—sourced from the lush Kaimara Belt in Chikmagalur. Smooth, balanced, aromatic—it’s the kind of cup that doesn’t need an occasion.

Matcha finds its own spotlight too, with ceremonial-grade leaves flown in from Kagoshima, Japan. The Dreamy S’mores Matcha, crowned with scorched marshmallows, is already being whispered about in Instagram captions. There’s also a Mango Matcha Latte that tastes like summer in a cup.

The food isn’t an afterthought—it’s a co-star. Bandra’s benne dosa wave has found a new champion here. These gluten-free dosas arrive filled with everything from bacon and eggs to prawn thecha and even Coorg-style chicken pandi curry. There’s also Eggs Kejriwal, Carbonara Scramble, burrito bowls, croissant sandwiches… enough to keep the regulars coming back for more.

The dessert counter? A sweet little temptation of its own. Vegan tiramisu, eggless tres leches, buttery tea cakes—comforting, not cloying.

And Blondie isn’t only about what’s on the plate. It’s shaping up to be a space where art and conversation thrive. Events centered around music, wellness, and creative expression are part of the calendar. It’s also pet-friendly, which means the community doesn’t stop at humans.

In a city always in motion, Blondie feels like a pause button—elegant, easy, and quietly confident. Not trying too hard, yet impossible to forget.
