Method Delhi is set to host an intimate and electrifying evening featuring Jeet Thayil, the celebrated poet, novelist, and musician. In a unique blend of spoken word and live music, Thayil will perform alongside Maadhavan Bhattacharjee (Bongoland) on beats and Karan Wadhwa on bass. This invite-only event offers a rare opportunity to experience poetry, literature, and music intersecting in an immersive setting.
Following the performance, attendees will have the chance to engage with Jeet Thayil during a book signing session, where his latest poetry collection will be available for purchase.
Meet the Artists
Jeet Thayil
Born in 1959, Jeet Thayil is a distinguished Indian poet, novelist, librettist, and musician. His works include several poetry collections, most notably These Errors Are Correct (2008), winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award. His debut novel, Narcopolis (2012), won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and The Hindu Literary Prize.
Maadhavan Bhattacharjee (Bongoland)
A record producer and mixing engineer, Bongoland is known for his masterful fusion of classical and contemporary sounds. Hailing from a family of musicians, he has worked with major labels like Sony Music and Because Music, collaborating with global artists such as The Weeknd, Future, A$AP Rocky, Yebba, Lizzy McAlpine, and Lolo Zouaï. His contributions extend to film and TV projects, including Gulmohar (Disney+ Hotstar), Shadow and Bone (Netflix), The Little Mermaid, and The Idol (HBO).
Karan Wadhwa
Delhi-based Karan Wadhwa is an accomplished bass player with over a decade of experience. He has performed with Bollywood artists such as Kamal Khan, Darshan Raval, and Shafqat Amanat Ali, while also playing an integral role in India’s independent music scene. He spent seven years with The Revisit Project and collaborated with indie artists like Rishabh Rikhiram and Rashmeet Kaur.
