After building a committed and thoughtful community in Pune, Paashh is bringing its Unhurried Expression of Living to Mumbai.
Paashh opens its second location in Mumbai, a city that longs for stillness even though it is always moving. The restaurant is based on thoughtful eating and timeless principles. Paashh is a peaceful place of quiet beauty in a world where being aware is the new luxury. Vaishali Karad is at the heart of it all. Her unending enthusiasm for health has led her to create a vision that goes beyond business. She didn't want to make a brand; she wanted to create a way of life. Every facet of her philosophy is there to remind you that great living starts with intention.
Chef Vinod Warade is in charge of Paashh's kitchen. His down-to-earth approach to cooking makes it a calm ritual. His method is intelligent and intuitive because he has worked with organic, natural substances for years. It is meant to honor the life of each constituent.
The process is delicate, so the essence of each ingredient stays the same. We only use a little bit of sugar in certain pastries, and all of our drinks are completely free of added sugar, artificial colors, and preservatives. Paashh is a café that only serves vegetarian food. It has a lot of vegan options for people who are careful about what they eat. The company mostly uses organic ingredients, but they also look for ingredients that are honest, pure, and easy to trace. They don't use name-dropping to make their products more real.
There are no plastic or non-stick pans in the room; instead, it has safe, old-fashioned culinary gear. We receive our fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms on a seasonal basis. We also work with other farms to secure heritage grains, organically grown veggies, and A2 dairy products.
Signature dishes show how the brand believes in getting food from nature. Terrain is a salad that takes inspiration from how plants and animals depend on each other. It has butternut squash, grilled brie, truffle makhana, and seasonal local harvests.
The Multi-Grain Thalipeeth, which comes with smoked muddled thecha, loni, and mint yogurt, is another great dish. The Soil to Soul, which is a raw banana and raw mango curry with ragi bhakri, coconut-cucumber koshimbir, and raw mango tadka pickle, is also great. The Kothimbir Wadi & Shakarkandi, which has spiced coriander cakes, sweet potato labneh, Paashh salsa, flaxseed chutney, mixed nuts, and aam panna caviar, is also great.
The inside is a silent debate between what you want and how you want it to look. At Paashh, being green isn't just a trend; it's a way of life. The area is decorated with raw stone, salvaged wood, handwoven linens, and lots of plants, all of which are inspired by nature. Every material is sourced locally, with respect for where it came from.
"As a fitness lover and marathon runner, I've always thought that wellness isn't just about being fit; it's also about how we eat, live, and think," Vaishali Karad said. That personal journey led to the birth of Paashh. "I wanted to make a place where living slowly and mindfully isn't a luxury, but a way of life."
“Every choice we make at Paashh, from the food we serve to the clothes we wear, is on purpose. I think that real luxury comes from care, quality, and responsibility, thus we utilize organic foods, eco-friendly fabrics, and support local craftspeople. Karad said, "Everything we sell, from the handmade plate you eat from to the clothes you find in our store, is carefully chosen and made to nourish both you and the planet."
