Häfele has introduced the Kallisto Series of cookerhoods and hobs, expanding its range of kitchen appliances designed to integrate with contemporary interior environments. The series focuses on combining appliance functionality with surface finishes and control systems that align with modern kitchen layouts.
A defining feature of the Kallisto Series is the Shadowstone finish, developed as a surface treatment for both cookerhoods and hobs. This finish uses a dark grey base tone with subtle variations intended to reduce visual contrast within the kitchen. The material appearance allows the appliances to align visually with cabinetry, countertops, and wall finishes rather than stand apart as separate mechanical elements.
The cookerhoods in the series are designed to manage smoke, vapours, and airborne grease generated during cooking. Extraction systems are integrated within the housing, with airflow performance calibrated to support standard residential cooking requirements. The external surfaces maintain a uniform finish without exposed mechanical components.
Control systems include touch-based and gesture-based interfaces. These allow the user to adjust extraction settings without interacting with physical switches or protruding controls. Gesture operation enables airflow adjustment through hand movement detection, reducing the need for direct surface contact during cooking.

The cookerhood design also incorporates accessible internal components to support routine cleaning and maintenance. Filters and internal surfaces can be accessed and cleaned as part of standard upkeep.
The hobs within the Kallisto Series follow the same surface and design approach. The cooking surface uses a sealed construction, reducing the number of exposed joints and edges. This allows easier cleaning and prevents food particles from collecting within gaps.
Flame control systems are integrated into the hob structure, allowing adjustment of heat output according to cooking requirements. Control interfaces use touch-sensitive input zones positioned along the surface. These controls allow ignition and flame regulation without mechanical knobs.
Safety systems are built into the hob units to manage gas flow and flame stability. These systems operate automatically during use to regulate fuel delivery.
The Shadowstone finish is applied consistently across both appliance types. This allows the cookerhood and hob to function as a coordinated pair within the same kitchen environment. The finish is intended to remain stable under regular kitchen conditions, including exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning processes.
The Kallisto Series reflects an appliance design approach where external form, surface treatment, and control interfaces are developed as part of the overall kitchen environment rather than as isolated mechanical products.
The appliances are intended for installation within residential kitchens where integration with cabinetry and surrounding surfaces is required.
