Abimis has developed a new copper-infused finish for its stainless steel kitchens, presented as part of its preview for EuroCucina 2026 at Salone del Mobile.Milano. The finish expands the company’s existing surface treatments and introduces a different material expression within its stainless steel kitchen systems.
The finish is produced using a galvanic metal deposition process applied to stainless steel. This treatment alters the external surface by depositing a metallic layer that changes colour and texture while preserving the structural and functional characteristics of the base material. The resulting tone sits between copper and bronze, introducing a warmer visual quality to the steel.
Following the galvanic treatment, the surface undergoes directional micro-brushing. This process produces fine, parallel lines across the metal surface. The texture affects light reflection, creating tonal variation depending on viewing angle and lighting conditions.

The finish has been applied to the Atelier kitchen line, one of the company’s primary modular systems. The Atelier line is defined by stainless steel construction, integrated handles, and modular components. The copper-infused surface modifies the appearance of these elements while retaining their structural configuration.
The preview installation uses a wall-mounted configuration, with cabinet volumes suspended above floor level. The finish is applied consistently across cabinet fronts and structural surfaces.
The copper-infused treatment remains integrated with the stainless steel rather than acting as a separate applied coating. The base material continues to provide durability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for kitchen use.
This finish becomes part of the company’s broader range of stainless steel surface options, which includes orbitally polished, mirror-polished, and painted finishes.
The new copper-infused surface is available across the company’s kitchen systems.
