Victorinox is strengthening its watch business in India, shifting its positioning from a general accessory offering to a more focused presence in Swiss watchmaking. The brand, established more than 140 years ago and widely known for the Swiss Army Knife, is reinforcing its watchmaking credentials through its manufacturing base in Delémont, Switzerland.

The company’s Watch Competence Centre in Delémont spans 17,800 square metres and has housed its consolidated watchmaking operations since 2016. The facility brings design, prototyping, manufacturing, assembly and testing into a single location. More than 200 specialists work across these stages, including case production, movement integration and final assembly.

Production timelines for a Victorinox watch can extend up to two years, covering multiple development and testing stages. The facility also incorporates solar infrastructure, with 2,750 square metres of panels generating approximately 500,000 kWh of energy annually.

In India, the brand is introducing the campaign “Spend Your Time Wisely,” marking a shift in how its watch category is being presented. The India watch business is overseen by Debraj Sengupta, Managing Director Sales and Marketing, and Avirup Mukhopadhyay, Head of Marketing.

The 2026 watch portfolio includes several mechanical and solar-powered models. The Air Pro GMT Automatic offers multi-time-zone functionality. Concept One is available in automatic and solar versions, with extended power reserve and solar autonomy respectively. Dive Pro meets ISO 6425 diver watch standards and offers 300-metre water resistance. Square One introduces a square-case format with automatic movement.

The Maverick and I.N.O.X. lines continue as part of the India offering with updated design elements and finishing.
