Khushi Kumar presented her runway debut on 21 February 2026 at Fashion Scout’s Ones to Watch showcase during London Fashion Week. The show took place at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, London. The eight-look collection, titled Kalanta — The House Awakens, examined ideas of protection, identity, and continuity through structured silhouettes and textile references drawn from Indian ceremonial dress.
The collection combined sculpted corsetry, oversized tailoring, and fluid garments. Custom Banaras zari and deep burgundy velvet were used throughout, referencing jewellery traditions and ceremonial clothing. Capes appeared as recurring elements, functioning as protective outer layers, while vine motifs symbolised lineage and growth. The garments focused on constructed volume and controlled movement rather than surface decoration alone.

Actor Pooja Hegde closed the show as showstopper, wearing a look from the collection that reflected the central themes of structure and restraint. Her appearance marked the final passage of the presentation.
Khushi Kumar is a UK-trained designer and a graduate of Manchester School of Art. Her early professional experience included placements within export houses, public relations agencies, and luxury fashion environments in London. This exposure informed her understanding of garment construction, presentation, and brand positioning within an international context.
Her work centres on the use of Indian textiles within contemporary silhouettes. Rather than replicating traditional garments, the approach focuses on adapting material language into modern forms. The London presentation marked the first international runway showing of her label and positioned the practice within the emerging designer framework supported by Fashion Scout.
