The Senator Group India has introduced a new modular seating line called Aura Lounge, created in collaboration with French designer Patrick Norguet. Known globally for his ability to pair clarity of form with practical comfort, Norguet brings that same sensibility to this collection, which is aimed at commercial and hospitality environments—corporate lounges, cafés, hotel lobbies, breakout zones, and the growing number of hybrid workspaces in India.

Aura Lounge sits under Allermuir, one of The Senator Group’s contemporary brands. The collection is built around a simple idea: seating that adapts easily to different layouts without losing its character. The modules include options with and without backrests, along with convex and concave shapes that allow curved, linear, or completely open arrangements. It’s the sort of system that can be expanded, rotated, or reconfigured as spaces evolve.

The visual language is defined by soft, continuous lines. The back profile, in particular, is given as much attention as the seat itself, making the sofa suitable for open-plan settings where furniture is often viewed from every angle. Norguet’s focus on proportion and balance shows up in the way the units sit—inviting enough for relaxed spaces but still structured, which helps them work in more formal environments.

Two variations are available: a Lounge version that leans toward a more relaxed posture, and a Dining version with a subtly more upright sit, closer to a banquette. This dual offering broadens where the system can be used, from restaurants to collaborative office areas where people gather for quick meetings or short breaks.

Speaking about the launch, Vamsidharr Setty, Managing Director, The Senator Group India, noted that the collection arrives at a time when Indian workplaces and hospitality interiors are shifting toward more flexible layouts. He expects the seating to gain traction in major metros as well as emerging Tier 2 markets, where design-led commercial spaces are growing rapidly. The strength, he says, lies in the mix of sculptural presence and modularity—enabling spaces to feel considered without being rigid.

Aura Lounge has already received recognition abroad. The collection won the Inspire Award for Best Soft Seating at BDNY 2025, presented by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Judges highlighted its sculptural curves, the comfort of the sit, and the detailed finishing, especially the silhouette from the back, which has become one of its defining features.

The Senator Group India has been expanding steadily since opening its first showroom in Bengaluru in 2018. With Senator focusing on tech-driven office systems and Allermuir positioned for contemporary workplace and hospitality furniture, the company now works across a wide range of design-led projects in the country. Their client base has grown to more than 150, covering both large multinationals and emerging businesses looking for durable, well-designed seating.
