Method Delhi presents Signs of Life, a new solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Kunel Gaur, bringing together four bodies of work that explore how emotion, identity, and structure coexist in the designed world. Instead of treating each series as an isolated study, the exhibition ties them together as points along a continuum — one where human nuance intersects with engineered precision.

Across the gallery, colour, pattern, and industrial logic operate in measured tension. In Colour Field Studies, soft atmospheric gradients meet rigid frameworks, creating quiet moments where vulnerability and structure sit side by side. The Interface Portraits shift this balance: typographic cues, digital behaviours, and visual systems of consumption form portraits that feel coded, yet unmistakably human in their undertone.

KUMI brings a sculptural graphic presence shaped by Japanese visual culture and early Y2K aesthetics. These character-like forms hover between icon and object, playful yet deliberate in the way they occupy space. Tile Assemblies distil cultural patterning into modular fragments — ornament held within the discipline of mechanical order.

Together, these works form an environment rather than a narrative. They offer glimpses of how modern life is shaped by the systems we build, the codes we internalise, and the emotions that persist beneath them. Gaur’s practice — rooted in graphic design, industrial forms, street visual culture, and architectural sensibility — finds expression here as a thoughtful mapping of contemporary perception.

Signs of Life sits neatly within Method’s commitment to experimental, cross-disciplinary voices. The exhibition invites viewers not to decode a single message but to navigate the shifting edge between what is felt and what is constructed, between personal memory and designed reality.
