Summer Away’s Holiday Resort ’26 collection, Athena, is shaped around evenings rather than days, drawing from the pace of summer nights on vacation when dressing feels unhurried and plans remain open-ended. The collection sits in that familiar in-between moment, when city streets slowly give way to coastal air, and the transition from dinner to late night happens without conscious effort. Athena reflects this shift, focusing on clothing that moves comfortably between settings, moods, and hours, without needing to announce the change.

The collection builds on Summer Away’s established silhouettes while introducing new forms that feel softer and more fluid. Bias-cut slip dresses, printed co-ord sets, and voluminous dresses form the core of the edit. These are pieces designed to move with the body rather than structure it, offering ease without appearing casual.

Fabric choice anchors the collection. Drapey viscose blends, linen, and organic cotton dominate, chosen for how they sit on the skin across long hours. The emphasis is on wearability that extends from early evenings into night, without the need for change or adjustment.

The palette leans deeper than traditional resortwear. Shades of magenta, green, blue, brown, and black appear alongside tonal florals, bold blooms, animal prints, and a soft blue ombré. The colour story feels intentional rather than decorative. Velvet trims, metal hardware, and subtle touches of shine are introduced sparingly, adding a dressed-up quality without pushing the pieces into overt occasion wear.

The campaign was shot in Athens and along the coast in Porto Rafti and Varkiza. City streets, sea views, and outdoor evenings as the light fades form the backdrop. The locations mirror the collection’s intent, spaces where movement between urban and coastal feels natural rather than staged.

This final Athena drop brings the collection fully into a resort context. The focus remains on continuity, clothes that carry through a day by the water into evenings that stretch longer than expected. Nothing feels overly styled. The pieces are meant to adapt as plans shift.

Speaking about the collection, Meghna Goyal, Founder and Creative Director of Summer Away, explains that Athena grew from thinking about how evenings feel when travelling. Getting dressed without rushing, stepping out for dinner, and letting the night unfold naturally. The intention was to create pieces that feel easy yet considered, suitable from sunset through late dinners by the sea.

Athena doesn’t aim to redefine resortwear. Instead, it refines it by paying attention to how women actually dress when they’re away. Clothing that allows for movement, spontaneity, and continuity, without asking for performance.
